Job Description

Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to work in Respiratory Care Services at a Level 3 Trauma hospital. The role primarily focuses on adult care areas and involves collaboration with medical staff, nursing, allied health practitioners, patients, and their families.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Ohio
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential through NBRC
• Associate degree in Applied Science or an equivalent degree, with a major in Respiratory Care
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Work Environment

• Respiratory Care Department operates 24/7 with responsibilities throughout the hospital.
• Position involves interfacing with multiple healthcare disciplines and patient populations primarily in adult care.

Additional Requirements

• Must complete required background checks, drug screening, and health documentation prior to start.
• Required to submit various compliance documents including I-9, government-issued photo ID, and education verification.
• Must complete medical clearance and respiratory protection questionnaire prior to orientation.
• Required immunizations and health screenings include TB testing, flu vaccination (or approved exemption), and others as per hospital policy.
• Must maintain current certifications and complete competency exams as required.
