Case Manager - Registered Nurse
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5x8 hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- Weekend Requirement: Saturday & Sunday shifts on 4x10s schedule required
- Patient Population: Adult and pediatric inpatient acute care
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:25
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week (facility may call off up to 3 times during a 13-week assignment)
- Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
- Locals: Not accepted within 100 miles
- Pending License: Accepted
- Return to Office Restrictions: Absences greater than 7 days require approval
- Start Date: ASAP
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of case management experience, including acute hospital case management
- Case management experience within the last year
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

- Facility Type: Level I Trauma, Teaching, Children’s Hospital, Short-term acute care
- Total Staffed Beds: 554
- Charting Systems: Cerner, Midas/Care Port
- Parking: No fee
- Scrub Color: Optional black or business casual
- Orientation: Includes fingerprinting, Cerner training attestation (testing out possible), and safety manual acknowledgement
- Pass/Fail Testing: Relias Basic Dysrhythmia Exam required for certain units; candidates have two attempts before cancellation
- Traveler Compliance Form and Background Registration must be completed prior to start
- New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks
- A 6-month break is required after 4 consecutive assignments or 1 year of cumulative travel work
Additional Notes
- The location is not near public transportation; candidates must have reliable transportation
- OT pay applies after 48 hours worked (effective 10/30/2025)
- Work Experience Checklist and Confidentiality Statement are not required due to crisis credentialing policies
This position is ideal for RNs with acute care case management experience seeking a travel contract in a high-acuity, mixed adult and pediatric inpatient setting with a structured weekday schedule and weekend shifts.
