Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract role in Winston-Salem, North Carolina
13-week assignment
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 18:45–07:15
36 or 48 hours per week may be offered
Floating is required
Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts
Navy or white scrubs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Management of dysrhythmias

Preferred Qualifications

Step-down experience

Unit Details

Cardiac telemetry / stepdown / IMC setting
Common patient populations include cardiac arrhythmias, MI, ACS, uncontrolled diabetes, DKA, heart failure, post-cardiac catheterization, post-PPM, and post-ICD
Cardiac drips are used
No titrating blood pressure drips
No charge nurses on the unit
Teamwork is emphasized

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are accepted
Local candidates are accepted
RTO after booking is not allowed
3-day orientation includes EPIC training on day 1 and unit orientation on days 2–3
