Pediatrics (LVN / LPN) Travel/Contract Position

Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 15 weeks

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8 hour shifts)
• Hours per week: 40
• Work setting: Small pediatric office with 1-4 providers
• Charting system: Epic
• Weekend shifts: Not required
• Local candidates preferred
• Contract end date: November 25, 2026

Required Qualifications

• Valid LPN / LVN license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 1 year of LPN / LVN experience, including experience within the last year
• Pediatrics experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID
• Massachusetts Statewide iCORI Release (background clearance) required within 30 days prior to start
• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, including SSN trace, county searches, national criminal search, and federal databases
• Education verification of highest completed education (transcript acceptable if verification unavailable)
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, including physician statement of fitness without restrictions
• Drug testing within 30 days prior to start (specific drug panels required)
• Immunizations or valid declinations required for:

  • COVID-19 (most recent vaccine or declination)
  • Flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (declinations not accepted for pediatrics)
  • MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella (declinations not accepted for pediatrics)
• Tuberculosis screening: Two PPD tests or equivalent within required timeframes; positive TB requires chest X-ray and physician clearance
• Medication and pharmacology competency exam required prior to start
• Pass/fail medication exam required with minimum 80% score on first day of orientation

Additional Requirements

• Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Two professional references within the last three years
• Skills checklist completed prior to start and updated annually as applicable

Notes

• This position is in a pediatric office setting; no weekend work required
• Epic electronic health record system used for charting
• Candidates must pass required competency and medication exams to avoid assignment cancellation
• Local candidates preferred but open to travel nurses without prior travel experience
