Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - ER (Night Shift)

Location: Raton, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (3 shifts of 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Description

• Registered Nurse position in the Emergency Room (ER)
• Night shift schedule with 36 hours per week (3x12 hour shifts)
• Weekend work required
• Start date: 7/6

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Required certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background check: 7-year criminal history check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation required
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands (initial and annual updates)
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Required immunizations or titers with boosters or declinations accepted for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within 30 days of start (instant acceptable)
• COVID-19 vaccination required prior to start (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 30) with medical/religious declinations accepted; declinations require mask-wearing during flu season
• Fit mask required: 3M Aura 9205+ or 3M Vflex 9105 (N95 fit testing available onsite if needed)

Additional Requirements

• Proof of 2 professional clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Completion of employment application/resume
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit
• Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the client for over 1 year
• Fingerprinting completed onsite with a cashier’s check/money order fee (approx. $88.30)

• Orientation includes watching mandatory videos and signing attestation forms prior to start
• Radiation badges for new candidates are not provided by the agency; new hires must obtain badges from the client if applicable
