Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist Assistant - Home Health
Location
- Augusta, Georgia

Contract Length
- 16 weeks
Work Schedule
- Day shift, 5 days per week (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- 40 hours per week
- Weekend: Every other weekend off unless otherwise noted
- No on-call required
- Floating within scope of practice
Unit/Patient Population
- Diagnoses include but are not limited to:
- Joint Replacement/Orthopedic Aftercare
- Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA)
- Osteoarthritis (OA)
- Diabetes Mellitus (DM)
- Hypertension (HTN)
- Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
- Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
- Dementia
- Amputation
- Surgical and Non-Surgical Wounds
- Cancer
- Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
- Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Home Health experience
- First-time travelers with Home Health experience are accepted
- Prior travel experience is not required
Holidays
- If one major holiday falls during the assignment, traveler is expected to work it
- If two major holidays fall during the assignment, traveler is expected to work both
- If three major holidays fall during the assignment, traveler is expected to work two of them
Major holidays include:
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Georgia
- Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
- Experience in a Home Health setting
Orientation and Compliance
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements is mandatory to start on time
- Orientation hours are non-billable and proportional to contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
- Maximum return-to-office (RTO) time is 7 days if applicable
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
Additional Notes
- Clinical screening will be conducted to determine clinical fit before final approval
- Photo ID and a clear passport-style photo with a solid background are required for badge issuance
- Valid automobile insurance proof required if using personal or auto vehicle for work
- Candidates working in home care or hospice may be required to complete a self-paced online training course and pass an assessment
- Color blindness testing is required; alternative assessments may be used if needed
