Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist Assistant - Home Health

Contract Length

• 16 weeks

Work Schedule

• Day shift, 5 days per week (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• 40 hours per week
• Weekend: Every other weekend off unless otherwise noted
• No on-call required
• Floating within scope of practice

Unit/Patient Population

• Diagnoses include but are not limited to:

  • Joint Replacement/Orthopedic Aftercare
  • Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA)
  • Osteoarthritis (OA)
  • Diabetes Mellitus (DM)
  • Hypertension (HTN)
  • Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
  • Dementia
  • Amputation
  • Surgical and Non-Surgical Wounds
  • Cancer
  • Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
  • Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Home Health experience
• First-time travelers with Home Health experience are accepted
• Prior travel experience is not required

Holidays

• If one major holiday falls during the assignment, traveler is expected to work it
• If two major holidays fall during the assignment, traveler is expected to work both
• If three major holidays fall during the assignment, traveler is expected to work two of them

Major holidays include:
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Georgia
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
• Experience in a Home Health setting

Orientation and Compliance

• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is mandatory to start on time
• Orientation hours are non-billable and proportional to contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
• Maximum return-to-office (RTO) time is 7 days if applicable
• Locals are accepted at the same rate

Additional Notes

• Clinical screening will be conducted to determine clinical fit before final approval
• Photo ID and a clear passport-style photo with a solid background are required for badge issuance
• Valid automobile insurance proof required if using personal or auto vehicle for work
• Candidates working in home care or hospice may be required to complete a self-paced online training course and pass an assessment
• Color blindness testing is required; alternative assessments may be used if needed
