Job Overview

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day, 4x10 hours
Schedule: Thursday and Friday 8:30 AM–10:20 PM; Saturday 7:30 AM–10:20 PM, plus call

Required Qualifications

Vascular Sonographer (1 year of experience)
Vascular Sonographer experience within the last year

Required Certifications

ACLS
BLS
PALS
NRP, as applicable
CHEMO, as applicable
TNCC, as applicable
EFM, as applicable
ENPC, as applicable
NIH Stroke Certification, as applicable
Pass/fail testing required for telemetry RNs
Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required

Health and Compliance Requirements

Physical exam required within 1 year of start and within 72 hours of signing contract
Negative TB or chest X-ray required within 72 hours of signing contract
TB questionnaire required
Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, tetanus/diphtheria/Tdap, and flu documentation required
Drug screen required within 10 business days prior to start
Fit test required annually
Color blind testing required
Annual background check renewal required
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
Texas state registry checks required within 30 days of start

Facility Notes

Orientation modules are required and take about 3–4 hours
Parking is available for orientation and employee parking after orientation, with no fee

Pros

Travel friendly, great staff, clean ER, everyone really helps out good team nursing skills. You will see snd learn alot at this ER. Night shift is were its at, great team.

Cons

High acuity and often short staffed. Very busy. Probably one of the hardest places ive worked but you see ALOT and use your skills!! Tired after every shift. Definitely not for the weak. You really need some experience to work here.
