Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri

Position Details
- Shift: 4x10 hour days (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
- First-timers Accepted: Yes
- Weekend Requirement: Call rotation averaging 10 days per month, including weekends
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed (facility may low census/cancel 36 hours per contract)
- Locals Accepted: No (candidate must live more than 70 miles from facility)
- Pending License: Accepted at manager's discretion
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: RTO must be submitted with application; additional requests at manager's discretion
- Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Epic experience required
Required Skills and Experience
- Work experience with Outpatient, Inpatient, and Adult ICU settings
- Experience with PACS, C-Arm, Contrast, and Biopsies
- Experience with procedures including:
- Stents, angioplasty, angiograms
- Paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrogram
- Peripherals, biopsies, drainages
- Vascular studies, venous access, neuro studies
- Genitourinary (GU), abdomen and pelvis, upper/lower extremity imaging
- Ability to use and deploy pushable/detachable coils
- Proficient with micro catheters and micro wires
- Skilled in use of Snare Kits
- Experience with injector systems, preferably ACIST
Holiday Work Requirement
- Must be available to work 4 out of 8 major holidays:
- Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, Black Friday
- Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, December 26
- New Year's Eve, New Year's Day

Background and Identification
- Government-issued photo ID
- I-9 verification

- Criminal background check (within 12 months) including SSN trace, 7-year county history, nationwide search, sex offender search
- State-specific background checks (Missouri requirements apply)
Health and Safety
- Fit testing for respirators (annual, onsite during orientation)
- OSHA Respirator Clearance prior to start (except certain non-patient facing roles)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 5 years
- TB questionnaire annually
- Drug screening within 12 months prior to start
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (renewed annually)
- COVID vaccination preferred (not mandatory)
- Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
Certifications and Training
- ACLS, PALS, NRP as applicable (check unit requirements)
- NIH Stroke Certification (annual)
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training if applicable
- Skills checklist and competency exams as required
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules (assigned via LMS platform)
- AbioMed Impella online training for ICU/CCU and Cath Lab staff (annual)
Documentation and Agreements
- Confidentiality and security agreement
- Standards of ethical conduct and relevant policies
- Orientation checklists (post-start) depending on setting (acute care, home health, hospice, LTC, non-clinical)
- Photo for badge (passport style, plain background)
Notes
- Candidates must be willing to be clean-shaven for respirator fit testing; refusal may result in cancellation
- No floating outside scope of practice
- Locals (within 70 miles) are not eligible for this travel assignment
- Call schedule includes weekends and averages 10 days per month
