Surgical Technician (Ortho Trauma, Neuro, Spine, Gynecology, Urology)

Location: Akron, Ohio
Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (4-10 hour shifts)
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (~13 weeks)
Workweek: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Setting: Operating Room

Job Summary

• Provide support during surgical procedures by setting up operating rooms with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Function as scrub person throughout procedures.
• Operate sterilizers, adjust operating tables and accessory devices, and handle instruments.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment and communicate with personnel, physicians, and patients.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet changing demands.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting of patients and equipment.
• Take initiative to contribute beyond formal duties and support patient-centered care.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 2 years of experience.
• Recent Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.
• Experience working in an acute care setting.
• Recent operating room experience.
