Job Opportunity: Cardiovascular Technician (Travel)

Job Description

• Position: Cardiovascular Scrub Tech
• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years current and previous experience in cardiovascular technology
• Shift: 8-hour shifts
• On-call availability required
• Must have experience with Fresh Heart procedures
• BLS certification required
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly
• RN candidates must reside within 100 miles of the facility to be considered

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NCCT or AST certification
• Valid state license (Kentucky or compact license for KY ARH facilities)
• COVID-19 Vaccine (proof of completed series; religious and medical exemptions accepted with documentation)
• MMR (Proof of 2 vaccinations or positive titer)
• Hepatitis B (Proof of 3 vaccine series or declination accepted)
• Varicella (Proof of 2 vaccinations or positive titer)
• Influenza Vaccine (required seasonally, Sept. 1 - May 31; exemptions accepted with documentation)
• Tdap (Valid within 10 years; declinations accepted)
• TB Quantiferon Blood Test (within 1 year prior to start)
• Annual Physical or Health Statement (signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP; must state clear to work without restrictions)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• ARH 20/20 Background Check (including education and employment verifications) within 30 days prior to start; annual updates required
• ARH Kentucky Vulnerable Adult Maltreatment Registry verification within 30 days prior to start; annual updates required
• ARH 20/20 Drug Screen (annual update required)
• ARH Competency Exam (annual update required)
• ARH Core Competencies (HIPAA, Patient Bill of Rights, Safety Orientation, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Infection Control, Elder Abuse and Neglect, Age Specific Care, Cultural Diversity, Advance Directives; annual update required)
• ARH Skills Checklist (unit-specific; annual update required)
• ARH Assignment Confirmation form must be submitted within 24 hours of acceptance
• Two professional references required (one charge or higher, one supervisor reference within the last year)
• ARH Employee Health Attestation Form must be completed prior to compliance deadline
