Job Opportunity: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Location: Boise, Idaho
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Night shift, 40 hours per week, 3 days on / 4 days off (7 on / 7 off rotation)
Position Requirements
- Specialty: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) with ASCP certification required
- Experience: Minimum years of experience not explicitly stated; assume standard MLT experience required (confirm with recruiter)
- Certifications:
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification required for all direct patient care personnel
- Licensure:
- Valid license/certification verification dated within 30 days of start
- Health and Safety:
- Fit Test
- 10 Panel Drug Screen (completed within 30 days of start, no THC)
- COVID-19 Vaccine (including booster by Sept 2025) or approved exemption/declination (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
- MMR (proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series (proof of at least first vaccination prior to start)
- Influenza Vaccine (proof or declination/exemption for 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 season; declination not accepted in CA or IL)
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with chest x-ray if positive TB as per regional requirements
- Varicella vaccination or IgG titer proof
- Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
Professional and Compliance Requirements
- Signed Trinity Health forms including:
- Code of Conduct
- Confidentiality of Patient & Proprietary Information and System Security Agreement
- Integrity and Audit Services Form
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form
- Background and Screening:
- Criminal Background Check (Federal, Nationwide, County for last 7 years)
- Education Verification (highest academic degree or diploma/GED)
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check
- GSA/OIG exclusion check
- NSO (National Sex Offender) check
- Motor Vehicle Report (if applicable) dated within 30 days of start
- Trinity Profile submission including resume, skills checklist (within last year), and 2 professional references
- Trinity Joint Commission CORE Exam within the last year
- Trinity System Access Form completed and uploaded one week before start
- Trinity Skills Checklist (provided by agency for clinical contractors)
