CT Technologist - Akron, Ohio (LTA Contract)

Job Summary

• Operate Computerized Tomography (CT) and Radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic CT scans and radiographs under indirect supervision.
• Ensure proper processing of patient records to initiate timely procedure results.
• Evaluate images with Radiologist and take additional images as needed.
• Assist with invasive procedures as required.
• Perform other duties as training and skills allow.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Licensed Radiographer by the State of Ohio.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology Technology (preferred).
• CT Registry preferred.
• Manual dexterity to calibrate and operate equipment, position patients, apply restraining devices, and administer intravenous contrast injections.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and hospital staff.
• Ability to lift and position patients.
• CPR certification and ability to initiate CPR.
• Competency in interacting respectfully and effectively with diverse patient populations.
• Physical demands: Heavy lifting (50-100 pounds occasionally, 25-50 pounds frequently).

• 13 weeks

Certifications & Licenses Required

• BLS (AHA only; AHA RQI acceptable)
• ARRT certification
• State Radiographer License (Ohio)
• Primary source verification of licenses and certifications

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

• Fit Test (N95 respirator mask, updated annually)
• Health Statement (pre-employment physical within 1 year confirming ability to perform essential job functions)
• Unit-specific competency exam, skills checklist, and core competencies (HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission topics) updated annually
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • MMR (titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations)
  • Hepatitis B (titer or complete vaccine series; signed declinations accepted)
  • Influenza vaccine (required October-April; medical/religious exemptions require approval)
  • 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with specific timing requirements; no declinations
  • Varicella (titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations)
  • Annual TB questionnaire
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Criminal background check (FCRA compliant, 7 years, includes SSN trace and multiple databases), updated with breaks in service
• OIG, EPLS, and education verifications within 90 days of start, updated with breaks in service
• Social Security Card or number verification

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years Radiology Technology experience preferred (higher value used)
• Prior travel experience is not required

This position is suitable for experienced CT Technologists licensed in Ohio, with strong clinical skills and compliance readiness for a 13-week long-term assignment.
