Position Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
  • Location: Kansas City, Kansas
  • Shift: Day shift
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, every third weekend
  • Hours: 3 days per week
  • Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
  • Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description

  • Provide nursing care in the medical ICU.
  • Work primarily day shifts with a consistent schedule.

Required Credentials and Compliance for Onboarding

  • Vaccinations & Immunity:
    • COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 doses plus booster or completed declination.
    • MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer.
    • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31) or declination.
    • Hepatitis B: Vaccination required; declinations not accepted.
    • Varicella: Vaccination or titer showing immunity.
    • Tdap: Required; declinations not accepted in some regions.
  • Health Tests:
    • TB Test: Within 1 year of start date.
    • Physical/Health Statement: Annual clearance to work required.
    • Fit Test: Annual respirator fit test required; must be completed prior to start if onsite testing is not available.
  • Professional Requirements:
    • Valid Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport.
    • National Criminal Background Check within 1 year of start.
    • Prime OIG and SAM/EPLS exclusion checks.
    • Prime Agency Attestation (completed after all credentials are uploaded).
    • Prime Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification).
    • Signed Job Description.
  • Testing & Competency:
    • Prime Core Competencies Exam: Minimum score 80%.
    • Prime Skills Checklist.
    • Prime Specialty Exam: Minimum score 80%.
    • Prime Color-blind Test: Annual completion required.
  • Additional Certifications:
    • DCI/BVP (Workplace Violence Prevention): Required; can be completed via Relias or similar platforms.
  • Drug Screening:
    • Minimum 10-panel drug screen including THC within 60 days of start.
    • For California locations: 10-panel urine drug screen excluding THC plus psychoactive THC saliva test.

  • Annual renewals and up-to-date documentation are mandatory for continued employment.
