Overview

• Temp Registered Nurse (RN) role in Des Moines, Iowa.
• 13-week assignment.
• Day shift, 12 hours per day.
• Unit has 15 beds and patient ratios are 4-5:1.
• Patient types include all types of med surg care.
• Tele tech unit monitoring is remote.
• Scrubs: navy blue, solids.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• 2 years of experience in Med Surg / Telemetry.
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
• One completed travel assignment.
• Experience in Charge roles.
• Experience with Epic.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Skills in telemetry/cardiac background.
• 24 months of current Med Surg / Medical Surgical / Med Surg Tele experience.
• Professional reference / reference check from charge, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months.

Additional Details

• Traveler will be required to float across all campuses: Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist.
• Unless the unit is closed, contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming holidays.
• Orientation date: 10/5.
• NBO: 16 hours.
