Requirements

Certifications

ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
BLS: Basic Life Support
PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support
NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
CPI: Crisis Prevention Institute (required for Behavioral Health & ER)
NIH Stroke Certification: Required for specific units (ICU, Interventional Radiology, etc.)
Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required for specific units (ED, ICU, etc.)
State License Verification: Must have a valid Missouri or Compact License
NURSYS Verification: Required for RN, LPN/LVN, AP

Health Documents

Physical Exam: Must indicate good physical health (within 1 year of start)
Negative TB or Chest X-Ray: Required within 12 months of start
Drug Testing: Negative drug screen required within 12 months of start
Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season or medical/religious exemption
COVID-19 Vaccination: Preferred but not required

Background and History Checks

Criminal Background Check: Required within 12 months of start
References: Two professional references within the last 2 years
State Specific Searches: Required for candidates working in Missouri and Wisconsin
