Job Description

• Shift Options: 3x12 or 4x12 (RN's choice)
• Unit: Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CTICU)
• Patient Ratios: Average 1:2 during days and nights
• Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Cardiac ICU experience
  • 1 year of Level 1 Trauma Center experience
  • Proficiency with Swan-Ganz monitoring
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call Requirement: No
• Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
• Block Schedule Accommodation: No
• Pending License Accepted: Yes
• RTO Restrictions: RTO greater than 7 days requires approval
• Guaranteed Hours: Yes

Required Certifications

• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Special Requirements

  • Stroke Education
  • CLABSI Prevention
  • Patient Transportation with Oxygen
  • Suicide Risk Assessment
  • EPIC Testing (if applicable)

Health Documents Required

• Physical Exam: Required within 12 months of start.
• Fit Test: Required within 12 months of start, updated annually.
• Vaccinations:

  • Tdap (within 10 years for specific units)
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray
  • Flu vaccination during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccination series

Background Check

• Criminal Background Check: Required within 12 months of start, updated annually.
