Job Description

Unit: 24 bed med-surg unit with a renal focus
Shift: MS Nights
Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Float Requirement: Yes, within scope
On Call Requirement: None
Block Scheduling: Case by case
RTO Parameters: Needs to be approved by manager

Experience Requirements

Years Required: 2 years
1st Time Travelers: Accepted

Certification Requirements

BLS: Basic Life Support
ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (as applicable)
PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (as applicable)
NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (as applicable)
CHEMO: Chemotherapy (as applicable)
TNCC: Trauma Nursing Core Course (as applicable)

Documentation and Health Requirements

I-9: Required for direct candidates
Drivers License/State ID: Required for all travelers
E-Verify: Required for direct candidates
Color Blind Testing: Required for all candidates
Physical Exam: Within 12 months of start
Fit Test: Required within 1 year of start
Vaccination Records:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year)
- Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (as applicable)
- Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Required (with exemptions accepted)

Background and History Checks

7 Year Background Check: Required within 1 year of start
EPLS/GSA/SAM: Required upon hire
HHS/OIG: Required upon hire
References: 2 Professional References required for Travel, Allied, Per Diem Acute Care
