Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Middletown, Ohio
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
• 36 hours per week
• Targeted patient ratios: 1:2 for Critical Care and 1:3 for Intermediate level patients
• 16-bed ICU unit
• 310-bed hospital

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Ohio
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips and dysrhythmias
• Ventilator management experience
• IV start experience
• Intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring experience
• Conscious sedation experience
• Experience with Epic

Unit / Clinical Context

• Designated Neuro Unit for Ischemic strokes receiving TPA
• COVID positive patients
• CRRT
• 24-hour EEG
• Hypothermia post Cardiac Arrest
• Prone patients
• Level III Trauma Center

Scheduling / Float Expectations

• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Traveler will be first to float at discretion
• May float in/out of specialty clusters
• May be assigned a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team of the unit floated to, including high-risk respiratory unit/COVID
• If assigned to MVH, floating may include main campus (Dayton), south campus (Centerville), and North Campus (Englewood)
• Must be available to work every other weekend/holiday

Additional Notes

• RTO must be requested with initial submittal; no RTO will be added after the offer
• RTO approval is at the manager’s discretion
