Overview

• Travel/contract role in Columbus, Ohio
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• Adult and geriatric patient population

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Unit Details

• MICU setting
• Common patient conditions include oncologic emergencies, COPD, pneumonia, ARDS, GI bleed, neuromuscular disease, drug overdose, pulmonary hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and sepsis
• Common treatments include mechanical ventilation, pulmonary artery catheter placement, CRRT, arterial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, central venous catheters, chemotherapy administration, complex medication regimens, clinical trials, and plasmapheresis
• Bronchoscopy and endoscopy may be needed for some patients

Additional Notes

• Shift may be days, nights, or a combination of both depending on department needs if a rotating contract is accepted
