Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in New Mexico
• 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience in an outpatient setting
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat physical therapy patients
• Supervise physical therapy assistants under a PT plan of care
• Perform injured worker care, post-offer testing, work hardening evaluations, functional capacity evaluations, ergonomic evaluations, and job analysis
• Communicate with referring physicians and rehab nurses regarding patient progress
• Support scheduling, referrals, billing code use, and related administrative tasks
• Assist with marketing, business development, and community outreach when patient load allows

Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements

• EPLS/GSA/SAM screening
• HHS/OIG screening
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Measles, mumps, and rubella immunity documentation as applicable by birth year
• Hepatitis B documentation
• Varicella documentation
• Drug screen within 1 year of start
• Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Completed application/resume
• Annual skills checklist

Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• National tech certification, as applicable
• State license verification
• Competency exam
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam, as applicable
