Overview

  • Travel/Contract RN role in Castro Valley, California
  • Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
  • 36 hours per week
  • 13-week contract
  • No Sunday shift; rotating every other Saturday is required
  • May float to units in the Emergency Services Division

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in California
  • Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • CPI
  • NIHSS
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Preferred

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred for RN positions

Job Duties

  • Provides direct patient care, assesses patients, develops care plans, and evaluates outcomes
  • Coordinates care for a group of patients and supervises support personnel
  • Assists physicians with exams and special procedures
  • May function as relief Charge Nurse
  • Participates in orientation, quality improvement, education, and unit committees
