Overview

Unit Details
- Float to ICUs across the AMBH and Scottish Rite campuses, including NICU, TICU, PICU, and CICU.
- May float to general care areas if no ICU needs.
- Typical equipment/medications include Servo vents, RRTs, ICU drips, medications, and pressors.
- Patient ratio: 1:2
- Every other weekend required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- 1 year of Critical Care Float experience
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Additional Requirements
- Pediatric pharmacology competency required for all nursing staff
- Competency exam required
- 2 clinical references required
- Complete application/resume required
- Skills checklist required for the applicable unit

- Background check
- Security and confidentiality agreement
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- N95 fit mask testing within 12 months of start
- Tdap vaccination required
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation
- Hepatitis B immunity documentation or declination
- 10-panel drug screen including nicotine/cotinine
- Seasonal flu vaccination required
