X-Ray Tech Travel/Contract Job – Los Angeles, CA

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Location: Los Angeles, California
• Shift: Night shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Weekend/Holiday: 2 weekends per month and holiday rotation required
• Contract Length: 8 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technician license in California
• Current and valid California Fluoroscopy permit
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• Minimum of 3 years of Radiology Technician experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician
• Experience in an inpatient setting

Required Certifications & Competencies

• National certification verification from accrediting body within 30 days prior to start
• Background checks within 30 days prior to start, including:

  • Social Security Trace
  • 7-year National Criminal History Search (including county searches)
  • National Sex Offender Search
  • FACIS Level 3 (includes OFAC)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG searches (annual requirement)
• Education verification (diploma or official transcripts)
• Facility-specific onboarding documents and training modules must be completed prior to start, including:

  • HIPAA Privacy and Information Security Training
  • OSHA Annual Education Training
  • Facility-specific confidentiality and abuse reporting agreements
  • Photo ID for badge issuance (high-quality, recent headshot)
• Drug screening:

  • 9-panel drug screen within 12 months (Aya requirement)
  • 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (facility-specific for this location)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Fit mask testing within 1 year of start (specific approved mask models required)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • TB test (QGold) within 1 year of start; chest X-ray if indicated
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or proof of vaccination (facility-specific timing requirements apply)
  • Hepatitis B: positive titer, vaccination series, or signed declination within 1 year
  • Varicella: positive titer or proof of vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or signed declination required annually (seasonal deadline applies)
  • COVID-19 vaccine or declination form required; vaccine must be administered on or after 9/12/2023 (initial series not required)

Required Documentation & History

• Employment application covering last 7 years with explanations for gaps of 30 days or more
• Work history verification for last 5 years, including gap explanations
• Two professional references required; at least one must be from the past year and include dates of affiliation
