Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Job Description
- Provide nursing care in the Operating Room (OR) setting.
- Pediatric experience required, including care of neonates and infants.
- Preferred experience includes recent OR nursing and pediatric specialty.
- EPIC charting experience is preferred.
- This is a pediatric hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) experience, specifically in pediatrics.
- Experience working with pediatric patients, including neonates and infants.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service).
- Social Security Card.
- E-Verify proof or attestation.
- Background checks including:
- 7-year criminal check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG searches within 30 days of start and updated for renewals.
- Education verification: Copy of nursing degree from an accredited college.
- NURSYS verification required for all RNs.
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
- Completed employment application/resume.
- Updated skills checklist for applicable unit (annual update required).
- Signed confidentiality and security agreement prior to start.
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required annually).
- N95 Fit Mask test within 12 months of start (3M N95, specific sizes required). Onsite testing allowed if necessary but discouraged.
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tdap vaccine (no declinations accepted).
- Negative TB test (Qgold or Tspot within 3 months; PPD not accepted). Chest X-ray required if TB positive.
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters and re-titers as needed.
- Hepatitis B: Proof of positive titer or declination accepted.
- Annual flu vaccination mandatory; no exemptions accepted.
- Drug testing: 10-panel plus nicotine/cotinine test within 60 days of start; instant tests not accepted.
Additional Notes
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement: Proof of OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission annual training required.
- Facility-specific documents and instructions will be sent directly to the traveler prior to start.
- Call requirement is part of the assignment.
- Minimal to no return to office (RTO) expected; must be included on submission.
