Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech
Location: Billings, Montana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), Monday through Friday
- One alternating day off during the week
- Required to participate in call rotation (one night per week)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Montana
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist or X-Ray Technician experience within the last year
- ARRT certification
- BLS certification
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Current and valid driver’s license, government photo ID, or passport
- Background check within 30 days of start, including 7-year history and national/statewide searches; must be renewed annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Education verification of highest level completed
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, or PA, confirming good health and ability to perform job duties
- Quantitative fit test with 3M mask within 90 days prior to start (qualitative tests not accepted; must be clean shaven; religious exemptions evaluated case-by-case)
- Negative drug screen within 30 days of start, including a comprehensive 9-panel plus additional substances; must be renewed annually
- Immunizations and/or titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (TDAP within 10 years or signed declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray with annual renewal
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive IGG titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if low/equivocal titers)
- Hepatitis B: Positive IGG titer, 3-dose vaccine series, or declination within last year
- Varicella: Positive IGG titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if low/equivocal titers)
- Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required October 31 – March 31 (declinations accepted with proper exemption documentation)
- COVID vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required
References & Employment History
- Two references required, including one direct supervisor reference within the last year (letters accepted)
- Current employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
- Disclosure required if previously employed at the facility

- Skills checklist and work history verification preferred
- Client approvals for certifications and licenses coordinated through compliance prior to start
