Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech

Location: Billings, Montana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), Monday through Friday
• One alternating day off during the week
• Required to participate in call rotation (one night per week)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Montana
• Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist or X-Ray Technician experience within the last year
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Current and valid driver’s license, government photo ID, or passport
• Background check within 30 days of start, including 7-year history and national/statewide searches; must be renewed annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Education verification of highest level completed
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, or PA, confirming good health and ability to perform job duties
• Quantitative fit test with 3M mask within 90 days prior to start (qualitative tests not accepted; must be clean shaven; religious exemptions evaluated case-by-case)
• Negative drug screen within 30 days of start, including a comprehensive 9-panel plus additional substances; must be renewed annually
• Immunizations and/or titers required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (TDAP within 10 years or signed declination)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray with annual renewal
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive IGG titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if low/equivocal titers)
  • Hepatitis B: Positive IGG titer, 3-dose vaccine series, or declination within last year
  • Varicella: Positive IGG titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if low/equivocal titers)
• Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required October 31 – March 31 (declinations accepted with proper exemption documentation)
• COVID vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required

References & Employment History

• Two references required, including one direct supervisor reference within the last year (letters accepted)
• Current employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Disclosure required if previously employed at the facility
