Job Overview

Role Focus

• Adult orthopedic and neurological caseload
• Approximately 50% aquatic therapy

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide aquatic-based physical therapy for orthopedic, neurological, and functional rehabilitation needs
• Deliver aquatic therapy sessions to support mobility, strength, and recovery
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and families on exercises, injury prevention, and wellness strategies
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent degree
• Valid Pediatric Physical Therapist license in Alaska
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or interest in aquatic therapy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and families
• Ability to create engaging therapy sessions while maintaining therapeutic goals
