Registered Nurse — Cardiac Telemetry

Overview

  • Location: Augusta, Georgia
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • Contract length: 12 weeks
  • Patient population: Adults to geriatrics
  • Unit size / ratio: 16 beds; 1:5 ratio

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in Georgia
  • Telemetry experience with 1 year of experience
  • Telemetry experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Experience with Epic
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam

Experience / Background Notes

  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Charge nurse experience is requested

Clinical Skills / Unit Focus

  • Post-MI care
  • Heart failure
  • Arrhythmias
  • Chest pain
  • Peripheral vascular disease
  • Peritoneal dialysis
  • Telemetry
  • EKG
  • Doppler

Schedule / Assignment Expectations

  • 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
  • Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
  • No call required
  • RTO maximum: 7 days
  • Must work assigned major holidays based on the holiday schedule rules provided

  • Full compliance is required to start on time
  • Background check must be complete before start
  • Photo ID required
  • Education verification required
  • Work history verification required
  • 2 clinical references required
  • Skills checklist required
  • Physical exam required
  • TB questionnaire required
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray required
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen required
  • Flu vaccine or declination required
  • Color blind testing required

  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
  • Non-billable orientation hours are based on contract length
