Location
- California, Palo Alto (with coverage also in Fremont and Sunnyvale as needed)

- Day shift, Monday to Friday
- 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week)
Job Description
- Provide interim behavioral health care management, care coordination, and psychotherapy interventions in a pediatric primary care clinic.
- Support ambulatory services focused on Healthy Young Minds.
- Coverage primarily in Palo Alto until vacancy is filled; may also cover Fremont and Sunnyvale based on patient needs.
- Role covers extended leave of absence (LOA).
Patient Population and Conditions Treated
- Pediatric patients with:
- Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
- Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
- Adjustment Disorder
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Emotional and behavioral issues of childhood
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), high-functioning
- Social anxiety, separation anxiety, phobias
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Trichotillomania and other Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker license in California
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 5 years of experience
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker experience within the last year
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including Social Security trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and other regulatory screenings.
- FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter.
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to California law).
- TB screening: Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start; must be renewed annually.
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start.
- Immunizations and titers required or proof of immunity for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (series or declination)
- Varicella
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30)
- Fit test for masks required within 1 year of start and annually thereafter (with accommodations considered for religious exemptions or failed tests).
- Respiratory safety clearance required prior to start and annually.
- References: 2 professional references within 3 years required.
- Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps.
- Unit-specific skills checklist required and must be renewed annually.
Certifications (as applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA or ARC
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA or ARC
- Other certifications may be required based on position specifics; verify with employer.
