Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Specialty: Dietary Services (Dietitian)
- Setting: High acuity, non-ICU, acute care and progressive floors in a Level I Trauma center
- Daily Case Load: 6-10 patients per day
- Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8 hours)
- Hours per week: 40 hours
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- No floating outside scope of practice
- No locals accepted within 100 miles radius
- Pending New Mexico state license accepted
- Contracted hours per week: 36-48 hours, with facility allowed to call off up to 3 times
- New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks
- A 6-month break is required after 4 consecutive assignments or 1 year of cumulative travel work
Responsibilities
- Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to adult patients in acute care and progressive care units
- Manage nutrition support including enteral nutrition (EN) and parenteral nutrition (PN), customizing formulas with macro- and micronutrients
- Provide diet education for various disease states
- Participate in interdisciplinary plan of care rounds
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license in New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), including experience within the last year
Additional Information
- Facility uses Cerner for charting
- Parking available at no cost
- Orientation includes fingerprinting and safety manual acknowledgement
- OT applies after 48 hours on contracts signed on or after 10/30/2025
- Facility is not near public transportation; candidates must have reliable transportation arrangements
- Candidates must complete a traveler compliance form and review a welcome presentation prior to start
