Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist

Location: Saratoga Springs, New York
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• MRI shifts: Monday to Friday, 1 PM to 9 PM (scheduled patients only)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology
• Valid New York State Radiology license and NYS injections registration
• ARRT certification
• Experience with Philips MRI equipment

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – preferably from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – preferred from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) – required for Labor and Delivery RNs
• National Tech Certification as applicable
• Successful completion of EKG/ECG competency testing with a minimum passing score (details below)

Competency & Testing Requirements

• Must pass an advanced EKG/ECG test with at least 90% within 72 hours of contract signing
• Must score 100% on lethal rhythms identification
• Up to 3 attempts allowed with remediation support if needed
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Color Blind Testing preferred

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date (onsite physical required prior to start)
• Negative TB test (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold within 1 year) or chest X-ray if past positive PPD
• Immunizations or titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• 10 Panel Drug Screen within 60 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required before start date
• Fit mask test (N95 OSHA questionnaire and fit test) – quantitative test only accepted for 3M 1870 mask
• Eye exam including Ishihara’s color deficiency test

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks including 7-year search, SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender registry, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training (New York State requirement for all RNs and LVN/LPNs)
• Facility-specific documents such as photo for badge, lift assessment (typically 25lb), FCRA authorization release, ECG study guide, TSH medical history form, PPD questionnaire, and HealthStream orientation modules
• References:

  • 2 professional references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles
  • 1 professional reference for per diem non-acute care roles
