Experience & Certifications

• Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 3 years as a Registered Nurse
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
• Special Requirements:

  • Cardiac knowledge with self-rating of 3 or above
  • Basic dysrhythmia training preferred (self-rating 3 or above)
  • Wound Certification preferred
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross; RQI accepted) – required for Tele/PCU, ER, ICU/CCU, PACU, OR; preferred but not required for Observation unit
  • BLS (AHA or American Red Cross; RQI accepted) – required for all units
  • PALS (AHA or American Red Cross; RQI accepted) – required for all Pediatric units; preferred but not required for Observation unit
  • NRP – required for NICU, L&D, and Postpartum units
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring – required for L&D unit
  • NIH Stroke Certification – required for Med Surg, ER, and ICU; must be updated annually
• Competency Exam: Unit-specific competency exam must be submitted

• Copy of diploma or transcript required (unofficial transcripts acceptable if graduation date included; education verification acceptable if transcript/diploma unavailable)
• Primary source verification of state license required prior to start
• Physical exam within one year of start stating "cleared to work" with physician signature and contact info
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year (or chest X-ray within 5 years if prior positive TB)
• Required immunizations or titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Drug test (10-panel) required within 30 days of start with negative results
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – May 1)
• References: 2 required prior to start
• Work history verification for last 3 years (attestations acceptable; can be pending at start)
• Annual skills checklist and performance evaluation or 2 references from Charge RN or higher if worked with agency for 1+ year
• Facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreement, job description acknowledgment, code of conduct acknowledgment, marketing consent, and badge photo required prior to start
• Completion of facility Oracle and WorkRamp training modules required before start date

Additional Notes

• Travelers must complete lab work within 48-72 hours of signing contract
• Photo for badge must be a clear, front-facing picture with plain white background and no filters
• Modules and training must be completed by specified deadlines prior to start to avoid cancellation
