Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location: Coupeville, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-Call Requirement: Yes, 5 call shifts including weekends
Floating: As needed within scope

Job/Unit Requirements

• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialties such as General Surgery, Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, OB/GYN, Urology, or Ophthalmology
• EMR System: Meditech
• Block scheduling: Negotiable during interview
• Locals allowed: Yes
• First-time travelers accepted: Yes

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required for all candidates
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Check unit description for requirement
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, CEN, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM) – verify with unit specifics

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience in Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Urology, and Ophthalmology specialties
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

• Driver’s license or government-issued photo ID required
• Photo for badge required (passport-style with solid background)
• Some positions may require additional unit-specific job descriptions and forms to be reviewed and signed prior to start
• Washington State mandated background and watch list clearances required within 90 days prior to start
• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
