Job Opportunity: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Anniston, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Shift: Nights, Every Other Week (EOW)
Float position with possible Charge Nurse duties as needed
Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:6
Skills Required:
- IV starts
- Isolation Precautions
- Wound Care/Wound Vac
Level II Trauma experience preferred
Prior travel experience preferred (not required)
30-minute lunch break required, no skipped meals
Schedule is fixed once contract is confirmed; no changes or accommodations for other per diem schedules or contracts

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum of 1 year Medical Surgical nursing experience, with recent experience within the last year
Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
Proficient in IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care, and wound vac management
