Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Work Hours: 36 hours per week

Job Description

• Work primarily on a general medical-surgical floor with floating to telemetry units.
• Must have at least 1 year of nursing experience.
• Prior travel experience preferred but not required.
• Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must renew all expiring documents prior to clearance if they expire during the assignment.
• The facility requires strict adherence to testing and certification renewal timelines.
• Candidates must initiate background checks and drug testing promptly if prior documentation does not meet requirements.
• The EKG exam is time-sensitive and must be completed within the first week of booking.
• Failure to pass required exams or meet documentation requirements may result in cancellation of the assignment.
