Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Shift Details

• Night shift
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating required with rotation flexibility
• No block scheduling accommodation
• On-call: No

Unit & Patient Ratios

• Telemetry unit
• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 5-7 patients
• Total staffed beds: 36
• Charting system: Epic

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Licensure

• Valid permanent Indiana RN license or valid compact RN license required
• Temporary or pending licenses not accepted

Orientation & Testing

• Pass/fail testing on EKG and medication exams on first day of orientation (2 attempts allowed)
• Advanced EKG exam includes measurement of PR, QRS, QT intervals; approximately 2 hours long
• Competency exams and core safety exams must be completed prior to start and updated annually
• Annual OSHA mandatory training required

Documentation & Compliance Requirements

• Background checks including SS trace, county, nationwide, sex offender, FACIS L3, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Transcript or diploma of highest education required prior to start
• Physical exam within 1 year indicating “Clear to work with no restrictions and free of communicable diseases”
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 3 weeks of start (no instant tests)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (2 doses Moderna/Pfizer or 1 dose J&J) or approved medical/religious exemption
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) or approved exemption
• Fit mask (N95) required prior to start; facial hair must comply with OSHA standards
• Emergency contact form required
• Employment application and work history verification required
• Two references from most recent contract required

• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• No holidays allowed off during contract (RTO restrictions: max 5 days)
• Must review and acknowledge multiple facility-specific study guides and agreements prior to start
• Must sign unit-specific job description and confidentiality agreement before starting
• Locals accepted
