Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Location: Huntsville, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Labor and Delivery
• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
• Weekend Scheduling: Variable
• Start Date: As soon as possible

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current BLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Current PALS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background check within the past year covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the last 7 years, including SSN trace, death master index, sex offender registry, and aliases
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks with all aliases
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
• Fit mask testing completed onsite during orientation
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years
  • Negative TB screening (2 PPDs or equivalent testing) or proof of past positive with clear chest x-ray within 1 year
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; boosters as needed)
  • Hepatitis B series or titer (declination allowed but strongly discouraged)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters as needed)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or facility-specific declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant acceptable)
• Proof of 2 clinical references without any indication of poor performance or ineligibility for rehire
• Verification of work history for the past 7 years via third party (agency verification not accepted)
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable, including medication/pharmacology competency

• Scheduling details to be discussed during screening
• Orientation includes onsite testing such as color blindness and fit mask testing
• Influenza declination form required if vaccine is declined during flu season
• Must complete facility-specific background attestation and employee health forms prior to start
