OR Tech / Surgical Tech - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Titusville, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Number of Operating Rooms: 10
• Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital with 210 staffed beds
• Charting System: Meditech
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
• Scrub Color: Any
• Floating: Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
• Block Scheduling: Not allowed
• Locals: Candidates must live more than 30 miles from the facility
• Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No RTO during the first or last week of assignment
• Call-Out Policy: 3 call outs result in termination
• Shift Change Notice:

  • 48 hours notice refusal may forfeit guaranteed hours for pay period
  • 1 week or more notice refusal may result in termination
• Pre-Start Requirements: Plan for at least 4 hours to complete mandatory modules prior to start date

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Special Requirements / Procedures

• Experience with the following surgical specialties required:

  • General Surgery
  • Gynecology (GYN)
  • Urology (URO)
  • Obstetrics (including C-sections)
  • Orthopedics
  • Gastrointestinal (GI)
  • Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT)
  • Robotic Surgery
  • Neurosurgery/Spine

Additional Notes

• Candidates must complete facility-specific job description and orientation modules prior to start
• Fit testing for masks will be completed onsite during the first week
• Candidates must review and sign multiple facility-specific acknowledgments including confidentiality, tobacco-free policy, timecard expectations, and orientation quizzes
• Failure to complete required modules or documentation on time may delay or jeopardize start date

This position is ideal for experienced Surgical Technologists with prior travel contract experience seeking a 13-week assignment in a busy acute care hospital setting with a structured day shift schedule.
