Job Opportunity: MRI Tech

Location: Clearwater, Florida

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (07:00 - 19:30)
• Daily Caseload: 15-25 patients per tech
• Start Date: ASAP
• On-call Requirement: Yes, 2 call shifts per month
• Floating: Not required or allowed
• Locals: Not accepted
• Pending State License: Not accepted
• First-time Travelers: Accepted
• Weekend Requirement: To be discussed during interview
• Block Schedule: To be discussed during interview

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working in inpatient, outpatient, ER, community hospital, and adult ICU settings
• Proficient in PACS and contrast administration
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Must prioritize patient safety as the number one focus

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Florida state MRI technologist license required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT certification and ARRT Advanced certification

Special Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license active throughout the assignment
• Background checks including education verification and fingerprinting per Florida AHCA Level II requirements
• Physical exam within 6 months of start date
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 10 weeks of start date
• Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Drug testing: Standard 9-panel within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or approved declination required for the 2025-26 season
• Respirator medical clearance if respirator use is required
• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start
• Professional photo for badge required prior to start

• References: Two professional references from the past 2 years required
• Employment Application and Skills Checklist: Must be completed and uploaded
• Stroke Education CEUs: Required for certain units (not specifically for this role but may be relevant if rotating)
• Competency Exams: May be required as applicable
• Dress Code: Navy Blue, Burgundy, or Khaki scrub colors
• Charting System: Cerner EMR
• Parking: Included

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Candidates must have a Registered Technologist license specific to MRI in Florida.
