Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Fishersville, Virginia
• 26-week contract
• Night shift, 3x12 hours: 19:00–7:00
• Every other weekend required
• Ratio: 1:6
• First-timers accepted
• Locals not accepted
• Float required at times to cover staffing needs
• Dedicated Education Unit: 2 East, Rooms 201–220, a 22-bed unit

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Government-issued photo ID
• 2 professional references
• Current application/resume
• Skills checklist for the applicable specialty
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start, including marijuana
• TB questionnaire
• Tdap within 10 years or declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation
• Flu vaccine or approved exemption during flu season
• Influenza medical or religious exemption forms, if applicable, due two weeks prior to start
• Background check and required screening items within 30 days of start

Schedule and Assignment Details

• PM shift every other weekend
• Holiday rotation required
• Must work one summer and one winter holiday if assigned across two holidays
• Self-scheduling groups rotate every scheduling period, which is every week
• On the first day, RN takes DS at Employee Health and leaves; first shift is Tuesday

• Fit mask: 3M N95 1870+ preferred

Unit Notes

• 2 East is a dedicated education unit focused on teaching new graduate nurses foundational skills during orientation
• Nurses on this unit are highly engaged preceptors
