MS/Tele

Role Overview

• Travel/Contract RN position in Omaha, Nebraska.
• 13-week contract option.
• 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule option.
• Day shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00 to 19:30.

Unit

• Innovation Design Unit (IDU), an inpatient care unit with 17 patient rooms divided into zones.
• Primary patient population is adult medical-surgical patients.
• The unit does not care for labor and delivery or pediatrics.
• Primary nursing care model with 1 RN assigned to a group of patients.
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4-5 on days, 1:5-6 on nights.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nebraska
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Experience in a Large Hospital setting
• Experience in an Academic Medical Center setting
• Experience with cardiac or critical care drips
• Experience with Epic

Preferred

• ACLS preferred.

Float Scope

• Travelers are first to float and must be prepared to float frequently.
• May float within scope to meet facility needs, including potentially to Bellevue campus.
• Possible float units include 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, and SOTU.

Schedule Expectations

• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period.
• Holiday requirement: work 2 of 3 major holidays.

Other Notes

• Drips are required on all floors.
• 100% nicotine free facility.
• Scrubs are mandatory: Steele gray scrubs with the logo printed on the back.
• RTO up to two weeks is permitted and must be submitted with the application. Additional requests after confirmation are at manager discretion.
