Job Opportunity: MedSurg Nurse - Contract Clinician

Job Description

• Perform daily patient assessments, medication administration, IV drip monitoring, telemetry monitoring, patient admissions and discharges.
• Participate in daily rounding with the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with patient transfers as needed.

Equipment & Systems

• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Centriq
• Medication Dispensing System: Pyxis

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MedSurg nursing experience.
• Valid Michigan RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.

Schedule & Work Conditions

• Six-week rotating schedule including some weekends.
• May work alone depending on census; a second nurse may be on call.
• No floating to other units.

Unit Details

• MedSurg unit licensed for 25 beds.
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3 or 1:4.
• Dress code: Scrubs (no specific color required).
