Job Overview

A hospital Cath Lab in Delaware is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills in cath lab procedures and the ability to circulate and moderate sedation during cases.

Requirements

• Specialty: Cath Lab RN
• Minimum Experience: 2+ years recent Cath Lab experience
• Prior Travel Experience: Required (travel experience explicitly mentioned)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Licensure: Delaware or Compact RN license

Clinical Skills & Responsibilities

• Experience with cath lab procedures including:

  • Catheterizations
  • Pacers
  • Ablations (EP procedures)
  • Structural and peripheral interventions
• Ability to scrub, circulate, and monitor patients during procedures
• Moderate sedation management
• No floating to other units; work exclusively in the Cath Lab

Facility & Work Details

• Level 3 trauma facility
• Approximately 175 beds
• Cath Lab has 3 rooms
• Up to 8 cases per room per day
• Shift: 06:30 AM to 5:00 PM (10-hour shift)
• Call schedule:

  • Every 4th weekend
  • 1 weekday per week (5 PM to 6:30 AM)
  • 3-4 short calls per month (5-7 calls)

Equipment & Systems

• Equipment: Boston Scientific, Medtronic, and others
• Medical system: Cerner RX Station
• Charting systems: McKesson & Cerner

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Location Highlights
