Location: Ketchum, Idaho
Job Details
- Specialty: OR Tech (Operating Room Technician)
- Department: Surgical Services, Floor 2
- Unit: OR with 4 suites plus 1 Endoscopy Suite
- Average Cases per Day: 8
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (typically 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, may adjust as needed)
- Call Requirements:
- Weeknights: Typically 1 night per week (4 weeknights per month), may increase if staffing decreases
- Weekends: Typically 1 full weekend per month (Friday-Sunday)
- Holidays: May be assigned holiday call if applicable
- Call Response Time: Must be within 30 minutes of the hospital while on-call
Requirements
- Certifications:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), must be NCCT or NBSTSA certified
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience with a strong orthopedic background
- Prior travel experience required
- Skills:
- Experience with orthopedic cases including total joints, sports medicine, hands, and trauma
- Experience with general surgery, gynecology, C-sections, and endoscopy
- CSTs must have some SPD (Sterile Processing Department) and HLD (High-Level Disinfection) experience
- Ability to assist with cleaning and turnover of ORs alongside the orderly team
- Orientation:
- Unit-specific orientation paired with a preceptor
- Training on unit norms and system values
Additional Information
- The OR team covers endoscopy procedures
- Use of TDOC for instrument tracking and ProVation software for endoscopy documentation
- Dress code: Blue scrubs provided per surgical services attire policy
- Management: Charge Nurse and Assistant Nurse Manager present on each shift
- Facility enforces a 50-mile radius rule for candidates’ permanent address
