Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - West Virginia

Location: Parkersburg, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Unit Type: Skilled Nursing Facility / Long-Term Care (SNF/LTC)
Unit Size: 66 beds
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:19-20
Shift: 3 PM to 11 PM, every other weekend
Weekend and Holiday Requirements: Yes
Floating: Required
Dress Code: Any color scrubs allowed
Charge Nurse: Yes, charge nurse takes an assignment
Nurse Aids: Present, ratios vary
Respiratory Equipment: CPAP, BiPAP, Oxygen (no vents or trachs)
Telemetry: Not available on this unit
Scheduling: No self-scheduling or block scheduling

Required Qualifications

Current LPN license valid in West Virginia
BLS (AHA) certification
Experience with Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) settings
Basic IV skills including hanging, starting, and managing IVs
Ability to titrate drips (RNs required to titrate drips on this unit)
