Registered Nurse - Resource Pool (All Units)

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

This Resource Pool position covers all Medsurg, Stepdown, and Telemetry units. Nurses must be well-rounded and strong in multiple areas including Stepdown, Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, General Medicine, and Oncology.

MedSurg (Stepdown & Floor)
Stepdown/Floor
Long term antibiotic infusion unit
Trauma & General Surgery Inpatient Unit
Ortho Neuro
Neuro Stepdown & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
Neuro
Surgical Oncology/MedSurg (Stepdown & Floor)
Medical Oncology/Stepdown

Patient Ratios

Stepdown: 1:3
Medsurg/Telemetry: 1:6
Each unit has up to 34 beds

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license
ACLS (AHA) certification
BLS (AHA) certification
Epic experience required
AHA BLS required

Preferred Qualifications

Level 1 trauma experience
Prior travel experience preferred

Additional Information

Must wear Royal Blue scrubs
Travel teams must be submitted together
Submission restrictions apply regarding previous candidates and location distance
Night shifts blocked on some units; weekends as needed

Pros

Units are traveler friendly, ratios 1:2 ICU, 1:3 SD, 1:5-6 Floor. Epic charting system, lots of resources and ancillary services available at most times. Easy to reach out to docs, docs are hit and miss on good communication like most places. Usually have float nurses in the ICU units to help out.

Cons

Common to get pulled as a traveler but wont pull ICU to anywhere but other ICU and SD.
