Job Opportunity: Hospice RN

Location: Garden City, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Role: Hospice Registered Nurse (RN)
• Patient Population: Terminally ill patients with numerous diagnoses
• Caseload: Manage 8-10 patients weekly with alternating visit days
• Additional Duties: Case management and biweekly travel supervisory visits of Home Health Aides (HHA)

Required Experience & Certifications

• Minimum 1 year of MedSurg and Hospice nursing experience (highest required)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• National Hospice Certification preferred

Schedule & Work Environment

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Weekend: Rotating weekend on-call required
• Holidays: On-call rotation required
• Orientation: 1-2 shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday with call requirements
• Dress Code: Any professional colors

• Supervisory Role: Yes, includes supervisory visits to Home Health Aides
• Home Health/Hospice Aides on staff: Yes, 1 aide
• Call Requirement: Yes, 1 staff member on call
• Floating: Not required
• Orientation: Unit/department specific orientation provided
