Location
- Salt Lake City, Utah
Contract
- 16 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour night shifts

Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience in the last 3 years
- BLS
- ACLS
Preferred Experience
- Prior neuro experience
Patient Population
- Adults and geriatrics
- Cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, renal, urology, post-surgical, general surgery, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, general medicine, and stable long-term placement patients
Unit Details
- Float pool covering multiple units, including general medical-surgical telemetry and specialties such as cardiac, neuro, oncology, rehab, renal, bariatrics, ortho, trauma, and ED observation
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5-6 based on acuity
- Designated charge nurse on each unit
- Nursing assistants available
- Respiratory therapy equipment available
- Heparin drips may be titrated
Scheduling
- Schedule is set by leadership in 6-week blocks
- Travelers are expected to be flexible to help fill gaps in permanent scheduling
- 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
- Rare call/standby for low census
Floating
- May float to other acuity levels, including ICU, PCU/stepdown, and medical-surgical telemetry
- May float between hospitals within the zone
Orientation
- 1-2 days with a preceptor
Dress Code
- Any color scrubs
Additional Notes
- Must be in state for the week of orientation
- May be floated mid-shift
- Housing is the traveler’s responsibility and is at additional cost
