• 10 minutes south of Seattle

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
• Evening and night shifts
• Variable scheduling with heavier evenings and overnights
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required

Contract Length

• 9 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS
• BLS
• ENPC
• NIHSS
• PALS
• TNCC
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Trauma experience
• Experience with Epic

Unit Details

• Emergency department with 55 beds, plus 8–12 swing beds and 4 trauma bays
• Fast track area
• Separate triage area
• Separate psych/seclusion rooms
• 250 patients per day
• Ratios: 4:1 in main ED, 5:1 in accelerated care, 2:1 in critical care

• STEMI
• Stroke
• DKA
• Sepsis
• Trauma
• Respiratory diseases
• Behavioral health

Key Responsibilities

• May transport critical patients
• Draw ABGs
• Set up small-dose breathing treatments
• Perform ECGs
• Draw labs with MST support
• Read strips with MST support

Additional Notes

• Travelers may do triage only after additional orientation and competency testing
• No first-time travelers
• Must be comfortable providing culturally competent care to a highly diverse patient population
• License hits involving diverting meds or endangerment are not accepted
• Unit orientation includes first-day leadership/badging plus 2–3 bedside orientation shifts
