Registered Nurse — Emergency Department

Location

• Peoria, Illinois

Contract

• 26 weeks
• 12-hour shifts
• 48 hours per week

Schedule

• Day shift
• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday or based on department needs
• No call requirement
• May be floated as a help-all on other units, though this is rare

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS
• ACLS
• ENPC or PALS
• TNCC or TNS
• Must produce a negative drug screen for all panels

Experience

• 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• 1 prior travel assignment preferred

Unit Details

• Level 1 emergency department
• 65 private beds
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3–5, depending on acuity
• Cares for patients from newborns to elderly, including critical care, stroke, heart attack, and trauma cases

• Middle initial
• Requested time off

Additional Notes

• Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Non-billable orientation: 12 hours
• Travelers do not self-schedule; scheduling requests are reviewed by the manager
• Scrubs: no specific color, but shirts under scrubs must be solid colored
