Contract

• 26 weeks
• Local placements accepted within 50 miles

Schedule

• 12-hour evening shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required based on department needs
• No call requirement
• May be floated as a help-all on other units, though this is rare

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• ENPC or PALS
• TNCC or TNS
• 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• At least 1 prior travel assignment preferred

Clinical Setting

• Level 1 emergency department
• 65 private beds
• Typical patient population ranges from newborns to elderly patients, including critically ill and trauma patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:3-5, depending on acuity

Additional Information

• Drug screen required
• Submission requires the last four digits of SSN, middle initial, and requested time off
• Non-billable orientation is 12 hours
• Travelers do not self-schedule; scheduling is managed by the department
